Bury Parish Community Land Trust will be dedicated to ensuring any new housing developments are genuinely affordable, thoughtful, and future-ready.
What is a Community Land Trust or CLT?
Community Land Trusts are independent non-profit, democratic organisations owned and run by volunteers. They own, develop and steward land and other assets like affordable homes, for the long-term wellbeing of their local community.
The Bury Parish CLT would primarily focus on providing affordable rented homes.
Affordable Housing Projects
We will be delivering a housing survey to every household in the parish, in September 2025, so we can find our what types of affordable housing our community needs.

Sustainability Initiatives
We are committed to financial sustainability as well as the use of environmentally friendly practices, design and materials as far as is practicable in any new development in the parish. We will also consider green tech developments. If you can offer any ideas or expertise on any aspect of sustainability, please get in touch.
